I do not have an external keyboard and still cannot get the MS Bluetooth Number Pad to exit out of pairing mode. I type the code in on the device, says it pairs and tries to configure the number pad, but never does. It is listed in the Devices list, properties says it is paired, but everything elese is unavailable. Device downloads. For software and drivers, select your product from the list below.
So my Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer Mouse for Bluetooth (model 1001) suddenly stopped working. After putting in some new batteries and trying to pair it, my Windows 10 PC asked for a PIN code. Now that was strange – you don't need to enter a PIN code when pairing a bluetooth mouse.
Solving the Bluetooth Mouse PIN Problem
- Right click on the Bluetooth icon in your system tray next to your clock (maybe you need to click the ^ arrow to reveal this icon) and select Add to Personal Area Network (or in my Windows 10 – Join A Personal Network)
- Click Add a Bluetooth Device. Don't forget to press the sync button on the bottom of your bluetooth mouse
- Follow the instructions through to the end, and leave the PIN blank
- You might find the Bluetooth device list is still empty. Just reboot your PC
You'll probably find your mouse now works.

This is a known/documented problem with Windows 8/10. This is not an unknown problem with Windows 10 on a number of Microsoft support forums. The best solution we have found for this involves plugging in a USB keyboard to to generate your code. Generally this procedure will clear up the underlying problem. We've outlined the steps below:
Download AMD Radeon HD 7670M Driver v.20.5.1 for Windows 10 64-bit. Download is free of charge. Amd radeon hd 7670m driver windows 8.1 64 bit8 1 64 bit. - Connect a USB keyboard
- Turn off the Goldtouch GTP-0044W Keyboard
- Power on keyboard and Press Connect so the keyboard goes into pairing mode – Blue light flashing.
- Go to Device menu and 'Add a device'. Select Goldtouch Keyboard.
- On a connected USB keyboard, input an 8 digit number (for example, enter 46576879) and hit 'next'.
- Then on the Goldtouch Bluetooth Keyboard enter the same 8 digit number (for example, enter 46576879) and press Enter.
It should start connecting and clear up the underlying problem. Open ksd file keepsafe.
